I’m a realtor and need a written inspection report for my client, Do you offer this?

Triangle Crawl Space Solutions is happy to provide a free assessment for homeowners and make recommendations about solving any moisture issues.

We prefer to work with home sellers in most cases, if we are providing an assessment for the potential buyers we need to be sure that we have the current homeowners permission to access the home and do our assessment. Estimates we provide may be shared with either party at your discretion.

If a more formal written report is requested for purely real estate transaction purposes we can provide one for a small fee. Please let us know if this is the case.

I’m getting ready to sell my house, what should I do?

We encourage homeowners to give us a call for a free assessment BEFORE they schedule any home inspections, etc.

It is better to know and identify any moisture issues before they become a red flag to potential buyers. Standing water or excessive mold in your crawl space send up an immediate red flag and fallen or hanging insulation is often listed on a home inspection report.

Triangle Crawl Space Solutions can assess your crawl space and make recommendations to have your crawl space in tip-top condition before these issues become a problem for potential buyers. Many homeowners will elect to do some basic repairs or clean up prior to listing their homes on the market.

I have standing water in my crawl space...Can you help?

Absolutely! Regular standing water creates the highest risk conditions for a home to develop mold, dry rot or other issues and time is often of the essence.

Sometimes standing water may be simply due to a very heavy rain event like a hurricane or summer storms. It may simply recede on it’s own (often before we can arrive with a sump pump) but regular occurrences of standing water or water that does not go away should be addressed.

Call us for a free estimate and one of our Certified Water Restoration technicians will evaluate and provide options to eliminate standing water in your crawl space.

Solutions may include:

  • Installation or replacement of a vapor barrier

  • Installing a dehumidifier to control moisture

  • Trenching moisture away and installing a sump pump

  • Encapsulating or sealing the crawl space

  • Landscaping or other moisture control methods on the exterior of the home

  • Waterproofing or repairing foundations and access doors
